Bringing Fashion Back: Nordys New SLC Digs

21 Mar

Hungry for fashion? Uh, yeah, you could say that.

Those of us living in downtown Salt Lake City have been starved for style for some time now. But not for long. Today, the new City Creek Center opens, including the swanky new Nordstrom.

I got a sneak peek inside the City Creek Nordys during Tuesday night’s Grand Opening Gala, and the new digs did not disappoint. Highlights of the store include Gucci accessories and apparel boutiques, Balenciaga handbags (aka my new best friends–I will be visiting them on a weekly basis), and designer collections by Alexander Wang, Alice + Olivia (you already now I’m a fan), Burberry Prosum, Jason Wu, and more.

At last! Downtown shopping that’s actually downtown. Welcome back to the neighborhood, Nordys–you’ve been missed.

p.s. Love Ruben Toledo’s illustrations for Nordstrom (like the one above).

Film, Fashion, and Farasha

20 Jan

Yesterday the annual Sundance Film Festival kicked off in Park City, Utah. If you find yourself in Park City this weekend and have some downtime between watching films, skiing, boarding, boozing, and, celeb stalking, stop by the Farasha pop-up boutique at The St. Regis Deer Valley and get your shop on.

You may not be a movie star, but you can still dress like one, right?

p.s. – Be sure to watch the cool (literally) Sundance-inspired fashion video on the Farasha website.

Splendid Stripes for Spring

19 Feb

I have a confession: I am addicted to stripes. It’s kind of a problem. My closet is stuffed with stripes and plaid (another addiction). Thin stripes, thick stripes, vertical stripes, horizontal stripes, black stripes, blue stripes, yellow stripes, red stripes. I don’t discriminate.

Because of this obsession, I wear stripes year round, but they’re especially cute for spring and summer. Splendid’s new spring collection, which just landed at Shopbop, is chock full of stripes. God bless ‘em.

xoxo, Reese
