Happy New Year!
With a new year comes a new start and a fresh perspective.
I came across this quote and fun Scrabble letter sign on Etsy—the simple words perfectly reflect what I am feeling and thinking as we embark on 2011.
One day at a time—this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering. —Unknown
With that in mind, I’m off to pop a bottle of bubbly and toast the day!

Mean Girls and Spotted Sparrow Christmas Cards

While hunting for cute Christmas cards on Etsy I came across this hilarious “Bitch” greeting card by The Spotted Sparrow.
The customizable (and eco-friendly!) card features a digital vintage collage made with images from vintage dress sewing patterns. These classy brods are thinking, “I look way better than that bitch/whore in this dress.” HA! The card is blank inside so you can add your own cheeky sentiment.
If you’re looking for something a little more, um, festive, The Spotted Sparrow has a cool selection of eco-friendly holiday cards, too (and they’ll add a personal greeting inside the cards at no extra charge—talk about Merry Christmas!).

I’m nutty for this Squirrelly Love Brooch made of sustainable bamboo.
I think it would be a cute alternative to traditional floral boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen for fall and winter weddings, mountain weddings or, of course, a wedding in the woods.
